Archived! Green Goodies for Saint Patty’s Day

I just tallied how many more recipes I have to move over to Kitchen Treaty from my previous blog. 127 to go! Aggghhh … never have I wanted to kick myself more for being so prolific. And for taking so many horrible photos, because even when I relax my standards by a mile, at least half of them should be rephotographed before I posted them here.

Even though this blog’s primary focus is helping vegetarians and carnivores live harmoniously, I go through serious phases of baked-good obsession. Here are a handful of cookies and cupcakes I posted on my previous blog and have finally moved over here to Kitchen Treaty.

I have a few more recipes from the archives for you today. I knew it would be a lot of work to move posts one-by-one from my previous blog The Hazel Bloom on over to Kitchen Treaty, but lordy. I hope to have it done by June. Hopefully not a pipe dream.

Here are four recipes that I just happen to extra-adore. Butterscotch pudding: so unbelievably delicious (and easy)! Baileys & coffee cupcakes: terrific for St. Patty’s Day (I know, I know, I’m rushing that a bit, but they’re also terrific any other time of year.) Man, that post brings me back to when I broke my ankle. Was that really only a year ago?!

Baking, baking, and more baking. What can I say? I really like to bake.

Recently added to the archives? Shocker! Several baked goods!

Two meyer lemon recipes, delicious from-scratch meyer lemon cake bars, and also delicious but very much NOT from scratch (ahem, Pillsbury) cheater meyer lemon rolls.

Some coconut banana bread that takes me back to Hawaii, some christmas muffins with a huge list of ingredients and they’re just perfect that way, frosty gingerbread trees with lemon icing that sparkle on the cookie plate, and holycrapohmygoshcrazygood deep, dark hot fudge pudding cake.

I wanted to be sure to get my beloved vegetarian onion gravy recipe into the archives before Thanksgiving. It’s got a super-short ingredient list, so it always surprises me a little just how delicious it is! Another solid choice for Turkey Day: caramel apple upside down cake. It’s simple and rustic, in the very best way. And if you’re looking for a great seasonal side, look no further than apple, butternut squash, and leek gratin.

I’ve also added a piece on how to make vanilla sugar along with some terrific cookies to make with it: glazed vanilla bean cookies.

Just added to the archives: two pancake recipes we love (and they even have their own toppings, if you’re ready to move beyond maple), plus candy cane hot cocoa mix (I gave this as Christmas gifts last year and it was a big hit). Also, a super, duper easy bark recipe that tastes special (and looks super cute in cupcake liners).

And! Buttermilk caramel sauce, milk chocolate peanut butter balls, an amazing pie recipe (think Turkey Day!) and ridiculously easy (and cheap) flag placecards made with just crabapples, paper, and double-stick tape.

I know it’s a little early for Christmas stuff, but I just couldn’t resist.
