How’s it going with your gift-buying this year? Aside from the play kitchen Santa is attempting to make for our little one (think old free entertainment center plus Pinterest-fueled aspirations), I’ve had my gift-buying wrapped up for weeks now.
I don’t really feel like I have it together, though. I mean, for one, there are still a gazillion things to do. Christmas came fast this year. And all that punctual Christmas gift buying really means is that I end up buying more stuff.
I grow mint in my garden for pretty much one reason and one reason only.
Nothing beats an icy-cold, minty mojito on a hot summer day. This version brings another summer staple – juicy ruby-red bing cherries – into the scene. The result is a gorgeous scarlet cocktail of cherry, lime, and mint … how can you go wrong?
I’ve been so pleasantly blown away by the popularity of my White Strawberry-Lemon Sangria – both online and at home – that I thought I’d try another fruity-citrusy white sangria combo.
I like this combo as much – possibly even more – than the first. Fresh bing cherries give this light, uber-drinkable sangria a lovely pink hue. And you can really taste that sweet cherry goodness. Loads of lime slices enhance the cherry flavor … and then there’s the super-spiked rounds of watermelon. Yeah, this is pretty much July in a glass.
