This Week’s Bits & Bites

  • bits-and-bites-20170120

When you don’t know whether to laugh, cry, or scream, take a lesson from Fern here and do all three at the same time. (Admittedly I’m doing a bit more of the latter two after yesterday).

This photo of one of our cats is weird and blurry but it makes me laugh. And so, I’m going for it.

Other than a weird Friday, it’s been another pretty relaxed week around here. Partially because we didn’t have much scheduled (ahhh, so nice) and partially because we all have colds. Naturally. Because I made the mistake of mentioning that Monday’s soup would be perfect in the even of a cold. (Hint: it is.)

I’m in a brainstorming-and-developing phase right now recipe-wise and have been so consumed by that that I haven’t been doing a great job of keeping up on social media. So many pokers (and potential pokers) in the fire for food bloggers! But I’m pretty excited about some of the deliciousness I’ll be sharing in the months ahead, so, stay tuned!

Speaking of deliciousness, here’s what I’m loving the looks of around the blogosphere this week …

Garlic Rosemary Cauliflower Potato Soup with Smoky-Maple Chickpeas from Happy Healthy Life. Every single word of that recipe title makes me go “mmm.”

Turmeric Chickpeas with Brown Rice from Naturally Ella. So cozy.

Spaghetti Squash Aglio e Olio with Rainbow Chard from Half Baked Harvest. Love.

And more spaghetti squash, these Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Boats from Jessica in the Kitchen.

Farro, Mushroom, and Spinach Soup from Simply Recipes. LOVE the idea of farro in soup!

A Glow-Promoting, Luminizing Breakfast Beauty Bowl from 101 Cookbooks. That’s a lofty promise, but my skin is a wreck right now. So I’ll give it a whirl (well, with some coconut yogurt).
