High Protein Vegetarian Meals
While it’s not hard to work some protein into a vegetarian or vegan diet, sometimes it can be tough to find high-protein vegetarian meals and recipes. I know how important protein is for overall health and satiation and I’m constantly seeking out ways to incorporate more protein into my diet.
So I thought it would be helpful to create a high-protein vegetarian dishes category on Kitchen Treaty! These recipes contain a solid amount of protein thanks to vegetarian protein sources such as:
- Tofu – Try my Tofu Scramble Fried Rice or Vegan Protein Breakfast Bowl
- Eggs – While not plant-based, eggs are a great source of protein for ovo-vegetarians. I love this recipe for Green Eggs & Yams or my fave Copycat Starbucks Spinach Feta Wrap
- Beans – Try my 3-Bean Chili or Tuscan Bean Stew!
- Lentils – I have a bunch of lentil soup recipes (it’s high protein AND just so comforting!) but my favorite has to be Instant Pot Golden Lentil & Spinach Soup. My Red Lentil Pasta Sauce and Vegetarian Taco Meat with lentils and walnuts are great, too!
- Nuts and seeds – Try my Tahini Breakfast Cookies with Dark Chocolate, Cardamom, and Sea Salt or Moroccan Spiced Almonds
