MoreI’m not sure why cinnamon red hots (also known as cinnamon imperials) are so quintessentially “Valentine’s Day.” I guess because they’re bright red. And hot. And candy. Okay, maybe I know exactly why cinnamon red hots are a Valentine’s Day thing. Never mind.
Anyway, I bought into it and decided that I needed to combine oatmeal cookies with red hots for Valentine’s Day this year. It had to happen.

This sangria is seriously that good.
I’ve had delicious red sangria with hints of fall spices here and there (oh, so good), but never white. So I decided to give it a try, and man oh man, am I glad I did?
That would a be a “yes.”

MoreMy grandmother, or “Gran” as we called her (but never “Granny,” mind you, as that sounded far too old for her tastes), had the most wonderful garden. As a child, it was nice, sure … but unremarkable to me in the way that whatever we grow up with, no matter what it is, is simply the norm. Conversely, as an adult, now I look back and remember her garden in that larger-than-life way that we adults sometimes remember scenes from our childhood.
